I chose to begin with my favorite location in Leogang, Austria: Hendl Fischerei – der mother thresl Mountain Club. I was lucky enough to spend some days here with my family on our skiing holiday. This is something that should not be missed!
This place is amazing; it has all the necessary qualities for a well respected mountain club: panoramic view of the Alps, chill atmosphere, exceptional DJ, impeccable service and a truly original design. As for food and drink … a dream! This time I chose: a beef steak (Tomahawk Ribeye Steak) served with homemade sauce, baked cherry tomatoes and baguette with herbs; grilled chicken (Huwi’s Grill Hendl) served with sauces and fresh homemade bread; a delightful goulash soup (Gulaschsuppe); beef steak with mushrooms, truffles and baked cherry tomatoes (Hereford X Shorthorn Filet-Steak); Priesteregger Cremeschnitten and mango sorbet to the desert.
Everything was simply delicious, but I was deeply impressed by the Tomahawk Ribeye Steak. I did not think that a beef of this size (1200 grams /for 2 servings) could be so tender and well prepared! A treat for my taste buds! I had so much to tell you when I started writing the article, but I realized along the way reading what I wrote, that the words are too poor to express what I lived there. A unique experience! I will certainly repeat it again and whenever I have the opportunity to reach the area! The conclusions are up to you!
